After acquiring some recent friends younger than myself and one of them being in love with language I have had this recent self dialogue.
Language is a means to communicate.
In just 8 years time the language has changed enough in just this small area that new words, new slang and old slang has to be explained
Slang and the defining of new terms comes out of pop culture or what is on tv thus spewed and influenced by politics.
Therefore it could be reasonable to say that communication is being effected by politics
When people cannot effectively communicate or think they are communicating but are working off of different definitions divisions occur.
Teens naturally want to define themselves as different from their parents, thus play into this changing vocabulary.
I will end with a popular saying "divide and conquer"
